About

I love being in leafy surroundings and cityscapes. Strong architectural subjects with engaging geometry and a little mystery are my main focus. Landscapes and cloudscapes appeal to me too. I also like to paint portraits, striving to capture the engaging personality and special characteristics of the sitter. I’m always trying to see the wider lens and context.

I received my fine arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis. I grew up in the USA and later moved to Toronto, Canada. After moving to Australia from Canada, I lived and worked in the richly scenic Snowy Mountains region. Although I currently live in Sydney, I spend some holidays at my extended family’s wool farm on the far south coast of NSW.

I acknowledge the traditional owners of the land where I live and work, the Cammeraygal people of the Eora nation, and pay my respects to their elders, past and present.
